Adopted

My definition of a chair orphan continues to take shape. A chair that's for sale in a store, garage sale or any other type of business is not an orphan. How about a chair that's part of a heap in the back of a pick-up truck? Probably an orphan.

But the following chairs are not orphans because I've adopted them:

This chair, they say, originated from The Breaker's Pub in Point Roberts. No doubt it's seen some good times.

The chair below is the one that got this whole chair-orphan ball rolling. I can see it all refurbished, sporting some plush brown velvet upholstery. I'll have to save my pennies though - that kind of face lift doesn't come cheap.

Chair deletion

That's what happens when you leave your pictures on your camera rather than saving them. I was collectng a few more chair orphan pictures to post here, but then accidentally deleted them. I hope I've learned my lesson.

Note: after writing this sad treatise on chair deletion, I discover the pictures (though not very impressive) are actually not at all deleted, but safely stored on my memory stick.
