Moving day brings out the orphan chairs

The little red chair above was quite sturdy and would look quite nice in a small space, once it's re-upholstered. But I'm not here to collect chairs.

This chair, no doubt, was designed in the 1980s when hair was spiky and interiors sported pink and grey.

My definition

On today's outing, the subject on my mind was how am I to define a chair orphan? A chair on someone's porch, no matter how neglected, is not an orphan. A chair in someone's yard is probably not an orphan.

This one was in someone's yard, but judging by it's postion - it's an orphan.

Just as cuteoverload.com has come up with criteria for cuteness, I will have to decide how I will define a chair orphan.
